This chair just looks perfect for curling up with a good book and a coffee, fabulous!

But I do digress in fact i'm looking for dining chairs my battered old dining table is gorgeous but the chairs are not! They were 'given' to us by the owner of the house (in other words he couldn't be bothered to take them!!) but anyway they have done but I am now on the search for new ones. I'm toying with the idea of either scouting around junk shops for mis-match ones or buying a set, what do you think??

I know these aren't technically dining chairs but aren't they just wonderful!!

Fabulous Aprons

I've just been checking out what all the wonderful talented people on Folksy have been creating and came across these fabulous aprons from Purlesque Craft Boutique I hope you like them as much as I do

I think I may need to call upon those better suited to illnesses AND managing the house this week!! I have 3 sick children and another who is on her way ............. thankfully the littlest is safe ..... for now .....

It does seem to be proving a bit of a testing time at the moment just when I think that i've got one thing sorted another crops up but that is the joy of motherhood I expect

But on the plus side we did manage to sort our front garden out yesterday.....well I say we but I can't say I actually did that much apart from direct as to what I wanted to be done! I am pleased its been done the house was starting to look like some kind of student dwelling with things piled up to be taken to the dump (since June!!), trees have been pruned, the horrid 70's Pampas grass has now gone (YAY!!!!) but there is still quite a bit to be done

........I can feel another list coming on............

Hello there

With the school holidays unpon us I fear that my posts my be even more sporadic than they all ready are!

However less time on the internet does mean jobs actually get done....although i think that may reveal too much about what i'm really like!! We have now finished plastering downstairs in our house so have lovely flat smooth gorgeous walls - YAY!

But best of all we also have a fabulous......no sumptuous plum coloured living room! I'm so excited about it, it looks gorgeous so I think that as we have finished (kind of anyway - just a few more odd bits to do) our first room in the house that i'm going to treat myself to a handblown glass vase or bowl to go in it

I just need to find someone to do it now!

{The Good Life}

This is our first 'proper' summer in the house as we'd only just moved in last year so this summer we planted a few easy things lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cucumber etc to see how it would all grow here....and to my delight it has all come up brilliantly

We have always grown our own, but I still get enjoyment each year when it all comes out. We will move the garden allotment for next year (now that we know it will work) to the back of the garden...away from the footballs....and I think we will also make room to have an orchard there we already have pear and apple trees but it might be nice to have a cherry tree and plum trees too
