At the weekend the lovely Mr Pretty has formed 2 raised beds for our allotment - just another 3 to make!! I would like to say that I played a part in helping him but alas I was ... erm..... busy doing other things. I like the idea of having these things but when it comes to the practical part i'm afraid thats where Mr P comes in, although I will and do help with the planting, weeding and of course eating!
Our plans are to also have a small orchard there with some soft fruits such as raspberries, strawberries, blueberries etc but the children have grown 4 apple trees from the seeds of their eaten apples which we will plant too, we already have a pear tree there and will probably plant a cherry tree too - any other ideas for trees??
I'm getting quite excited about it all now, its coming along very nicely although there is still alot (for Mr P) to do!!
When I get 5 minutes I will post some pictures of our progress so far
Have a lovely day!!

OMG an orchard - how lovely. We've just moved back to the UK an inherited quite a small, but established, garden. I'm finding all sorts of lovely things, like a little patch of Lily of the Valley and an old climbing wisteria. I'm with you on the work bit though - always best for someone else to do it!
